Day 45 Monday 29th July Singapore. The FINAL Blog.

A sleep in this morning for all of us so a late breakfast. We caught a taxi to the Gardens by the Bay – a magnificent new garden complex you may have seen on a documentary on TV.  (we did) It has been very hard selecting the photos as I couldn’t stop taking them.  Fortunately today was overcast so not quite as hot as yesterday. The treetop walk was a highlight.  The first lot of photos were all taken inside “The Flower Dome.”  It was surprisingly cool inside and more surprising were the types of flowers in bloom.  All seasons seemed to be flowering at once!! Words can't describe these stunningly amazingly beautiful gardens so I'll let the photos do the talking.  I've gone a bit mad for the last blog!!!
A quick taxi ride over the road and back to Marina Bay as we missed a couple of things last night and particularly the water which goes through the shopping centre and is supposed to look a bit like Venice.  Paul & I didn’t like Singapore last visit but we certainly changed our minds this time.  Better accommodation and location certainly helped a lot.  Singapore is so clean and everyone is so friendly.
We spent the last couple of hours packing for the final time.
Lorraine & Murray have the luxury of a Business Class upgrade for the last leg home. They are flying Qantas and leave at 9.05pm.  We are in Economy on Emirates and fly out at 10.40 We have a late checkout until 7pm at the hotel so we are very relaxed

We are still pinching ourselves to think that we have had the most amazing holiday anyone could every wish for and have seen sights we only dreamed about.  It will be nice to get back home but I think I could travel forever!!! Thank you all for being a part of it.
