Day 19 Wed 3rd July Interlaken to Lucerne

We woke this morning to rain.  (We had thunderstorms in Interlaken late yesterday afternoon, just after we got back from Junfrau, and we very pleased that we'd had such a perfect three days weather in Switzerland as the weather had again turned nasty.)
We walked a few hundred metres to the station and boarded the 10.04 train to Lucerne.  Again beautiful, stunning scenery all the way.  We arrived in Lucerne at lunch time and after lunch decided to go for a walk around the town to see the sights. We walked over the very old and beautiful Chapel Bridge.  The flowers were magnificent. Unfortunately the rain got really heavy and we were soaked through our raincoats so decided to go our separate ways (us back to hotel for me to do the blog) and try sightseeing tomorrow.  We will have tea in the hotel tonight and I am hoping to try some swiss fondue.  A short blog today!!!
