A very busy day today
as we cruise the beautiful Rhine River.
At 8.30 am we arrived at the city of Koblenz and went for a guided
walking tour. It was SOOOOO beautiful
around every corner. I took 136 photos
!!!
Back on board the ship we
cruised through the spectacular Rhine Gorge past castles and vineyards. It was
a shame the weather wasn’t better but at least it didn’t rain.
At 3.30 we arrived in the
stunningly beautiful town of Rudesheim and were taken by a little train from
the ship to the town. We went to an
outdoor restaurant where everyone (except me) had a Rudesheim coffee. It was
served in a beautiful china cup and was not to be stirred. Sugar on the bottom followed by brandy then
coffee and finally lashings of whipped cream!!
Everyone then went on a
tour of Siegfried’s musical museum. It is an amazing collection of very old
mechanical musical instruments. As Paul and I had been there before we walked
around the town admiring its quaintness and cleanliness. Back on board the ship
we enjoyed our usual 4 course dinner and reflected on a perfect and magical day
