Days 42 & 43 Paris to Singapore via Dubai

We had a quiet morning and got our luggage organised for our long trip home. We were pretty excited as thanks to our frequent flyer points we had 2 upgrades to business class on the Emirates A380 which included chauffeur drive transfers. We were picked up from our hotel at exactly the right time and were taken to the Paris airport (Charles de Gaulle) The Emirates business class lounge had just been renovated and the food was amazing.
The experience of Business class on the A380 was also amazing.  The configuration of the seats gave us complete privacy and so many features including 5 types of massage on our fully adjustable to lay flat seats. We had our own mini bar and could also go to another bar at the back of the plane. They also provided us with a lovely soft mattress to put on the seat when we wanted to lay down to sleep.
We arrived at Dubai at midnight for a 3 hour stop but that went quickly as we were again in the business lounge.  The next A380 was 7 1/2 hours to Singapore and we arrived at 3pm Sat afternoon. Our chauffeur drive was waiting and we were driven to the Grand Mercure Roxy for our 2 night stay. We met up with Lorraine & Murray who had flown in from London had a chinese buffet tea in the hotel and ate duck, chilli crab and prawns until we could eat no more.  (We both belong to the Accor club so got one meal free and Paul & I have one night free here as well.  Thanks Joy & Dennis for recommending it.  Its a great location.
